Is your brand ready for 31 July 2026?
56 new fragrance allergens become mandatory on your label.
What changes
new substances
on the allergen list
deadline
56 fragrance allergens are being added that must be declared separately on your label (in the INCI list). That grows the list from 24 to over 80 substances.
- ▸ Thresholds. 0.001% in leave-on products, 0.01% in rinse-off. Above that, the substance must be named on the label.
- ▸ Deadline. 31 July 2026 applies to products newly placed on the market. Products already on the market before that date may be sold until 2028.
- ▸ Corrigendum, November 2025. It corrected the INCI names for patchouli and geranium, among others — check that you are declaring with the correct names.
This is not a labelling job
You can only declare what you know. And what is in your product, you know from your suppliers.
Treat the deadline as "just update the label text" and you will find out too late that the underlying information is not there. Being ready does not start at the label — it starts with traceability: from supplier to bottle.
What Effinity does

Transparency as a selling point
Turn the same data into a story for your customer. From obligation to competitive edge.

Now I can focus on what I love most: composing oils and telling everyone all about them."
